Rowers grab two wins to start 2012
The Vancouver Rowing Club started the 2012 spring rugby season off on the right foot after securing two big wins on the first weekend of play.
In the first division of the Okanagan Spring Brewery League, the Rowers punched-out a hard fought 27-8 win over the Velox Valhallians’ first div squad.
In the second div game, the match turned into a bit of a track meet as the Rowers Super-2s ran in a plethora of tries against the Velox second division team. The game ended 94-0 in what may have been the biggest win in Rowing Club history. (Check with Timmy Shaddick for confirmation.)
Both teams secured bonus points.
