Two men's sides, a women's team in BC Rugby, plus Mini and Youth. Experienced coaches and structured training every Tuesday and Thursday, all the way through the BC Rugby season.

New to rugby, new to town, or coming back after years away, there is a place for you at the Rowers. The clubhouse sits on the water in Coal Harbour at the entrance to Stanley Park, and the patio is open after every match.
Brockton Oval sits inside Stanley Park, in downtown Vancouver. You train with ocean on one side, forest on the other, and Coal Harbour over your shoulder.
10 minutes from East Van, a 15-minute SkyTrain from Burnaby, an easy drive or bike ride from Kits and the North Shore. There is no other rugby club closer to East Van. Training starts at 6:30pm.
Full directions, parking and transit →Show up 15 minutes before training and someone will meet you at the pitch. You'll be introduced to the coaches and pointed to the right group.
If you've played before, you'll train with the side that fits your level, and you'll know by the end of the session. New to rugby? You'll start with our 3rds and learn alongside experienced teammates who have been exactly where you are.
VRC Rugby trains on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at Brockton Oval in Stanley Park.

A competitive women's team in BC Rugby Division 2, training alongside the men on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Former provincial players line up next to first-timers.
Mini and Youth programs at Brockton Oval for kids learning the game. Safeguarding-aware coaching, clear age groups, and a pathway into senior rugby when they are ready.
Thursday-evening touch rugby through the summer. No contact, no pressure, open to members and guests. An easy first step in, or an easy way back.

I had just moved from overseas. Tuesday night at Brockton Oval gave me rugby and a group of friends in the city within a week, not a season.

Years out of rugby and wondering if I was past it. I was back in a proper team by week two, and the rest of the squad got me match-fit on Tuesdays and Thursdays without making it feel like a comeback project.

I had never played a game of rugby. The coaches walked me through the basics, the 3rds took me on, and I was training properly from day one.

There is a competitive women's team playing a full BC Rugby season, Mini and Youth programs running alongside, and a clubhouse on Coal Harbour where the whole club crosses paths.
Plenty of Rowers have walked your path. They moved to Vancouver knowing no one, or grew up here looking for a community to lean into, joined the club and found a team plus a network that came with it.
We can't promise you a job, but someone in the clubhouse probably works in your industry, or knows someone who does, and is happy to put you in front of the right person. That's how this club has always worked, alumni paying it forward to the next Rowers coming through.
